Have you looked in the mirror lately and asked yourself something like, 'How long will this mess last?' Remember that when the storms of life are raging, or when tragedy strikes, to remind yourself that this too shall pass. Look, I get it...some shit stays around much, much longer than I want but it always passes...always! Tell me, have you ever tried to control the outcome of life by predicting, controlling, and trying to intellectualize what's happening right now and try to anticipate the future? Sure, we all have and although anticipation is a useful tool, if it's the only way we cope, can be a mentally and emotionally draining dead end. Here's the truth...everything that rises, will eventually fall away and one of the most valuable tools we possess is the ability to sit with what's rising to give it the space it needs to swell and eventually settle. If we're constantly reacting to the storms in life and shifting the pieces around every time clouds form on the proverbial horizon of business, relationships, and life, we're gonna have a really, really tough time finding peace. This is where the practice of yoga comes in. Each and every time we decide to practice yoga, we're giving space to what is. We're temporarily suspending our judgments of what is happening in life and giving it the space it needs to move on. You know, many believe that stress, anguish, despair, and the like stay around because we won't let it go? Don't make a permanent decision based on a temporary storm...sleep on it...or, do what I call, 'Take a yoga class on it'. Remember that this too shall pass and to give what's happening the space it needs to pass by stepping onto your yoga mat and letting it go! Make sense ;-) Talk soon, Ro
