A master teacher with over five decades of lived practice and teaching experience.
Not a training.
Not a performance.
A return to listening.
If you’ve ever felt that yoga is meant to be felt more than explained—this weekend is for you.
There are teachers who teach techniques.
And then there are teachers who transmit something quieter, deeper, and lasting.
François Raoult belongs to the second category.
With more than 50 years of teaching experience, François has spent a lifetime exploring yoga as a living practice—one that evolves, softens, and deepens over time. His work is informed by experiential anatomy, Ayurveda, restorative yoga, and the yoga of sound (Nāda Yoga), yet what he offers cannot be reduced to a method.
It is an experience of presence.
During this weekend immersion, you’ll be guided through:
This is yoga practiced from the inside out—where effort gives way to awareness, and technique becomes a doorway rather than a goal.
All students, teachers, and sincere seekers are welcome.
No prior experience with sound or mantra is necessary.
Only a willingness to slow down and listen.
François is the founder and director of Open Sky Yoga Center in Rochester, New York, and has taught yoga internationally since the mid-1970s. Even after five decades of teaching, he continues to explore new layers of meaning in daily practice—bringing humility, curiosity, and depth into every room he enters. This is not about mastering more poses. It’s about remembering why you practice.

François’ approach emphasizes ease, precision, and listening rather than forcing or stretching. This class is appropriate for:

This is a rare opportunity to practice with a senior teacher whose work emphasizes depth over display and experience over explanation.
You may come as a student. You may come as a teacher. You will leave more connected to your practice—and yourself.
Price for the Saturday and Sunday: $250

I've been studying with François in person and via Zoom since the early 2000's traveling to Montpellier in the South of France several times, the Island of Crete in Greece, Kripalu Center for Yoga, Rochester, and plan to travel with François to India later this year.
Opportunities like this don’t come often.
If you’ve been craving a practice that feels intelligent, nourishing, and deeply human that will help expand every aspect of your current practice at Gratitude and beyond—this weekend with François Raoult is an invitation to slow down, listen, and remember what yoga can truly be.
I hope you can join us!
With Gratitude,
