'The Gratitude Way' is designed to ignite your personal POWER by tapping into the inherent strength and energy found within each and every one of us. We accomplish this through the power of presence, breathing, and an intelligent, wise, and balanced sequence of yoga postures. Power, by definition, is our ability to take action. You will leave each and every class empowered to step back into your life to get done what you need with much more enthusiasm and effectiveness and efficiency.
All of the Leadership Team at Gratitude have extensive training and knowledge of ALIGNMENT. You will benefit by learning proper alignment and maintaining safety in every class, avoiding injury, and establishing a strong foundation for what all of life has to offer. On a deeper level, The Gratitude Way affords its students the space to align with their internal truth to have their feelings, thoughts, and actions all in ALIGNMENT.
The practice of yoga at Gratitude builds what we like to call an 'EMOTIONAL FITNESS', or an ability to process the sometimes strong emotions associated with life. The more we're living our lives, relating, working, loving, breaking up, beginning, coming to an end, succeeding, and failing, emotions will be an integral part of life. Yoga at Gratitude is designed to imbue you with a feeling that you can do it!
The yoga tradition believes that there is a light the illuminates the entire universe and within each of us there is a spark or an ember from that universal flame. Each class at Gratitude invites you to fall back behind all of the stress, tension, and oftentimes relentless/confusing thoughts and to connect with SPIRIT.

Hot Yoga, Hot 26, Hot 26x2, Bikram, and Barken, are considered in the Raleigh area and around the country as synonymous.
Devised by Bikram Choudhury in the late 80s, students were in a room heated to 105 degrees F, facing a mirror performing a fixed sequence of 26 postures. For many, Choudhury's style was considered abrasive, harmful, and lacking the core principle of yoga called 'ahimsa', or non-violence. In addition to being an imbalanced physical system lacking any upper body postures and variety, the soulful, spiritual aspects were non-existent as well.
Choudhury attempted to copyright the Bikram Yoga sequence in 2011 but was ultimately unsuccessful. In 2016, facing lawsuits and accusations of sexual assault, Choudhury fled to India, leaving a stain on Bikram yoga and all of its associated derivatives and the eventual collapse of the brand.
-it's Ro, founder of Gratitude...
I'm reaching out to you with a message to never get lost in the day-to-day stressors and forget your blessings.
Coupled with all of the pressure and the lingering COVID issues and there's no shortage of stress to go around...
But, when we forget and the emotions of stress, fear, anger, frustration, overwhelm, sadness and worry take root in us, we're going to miss the true spirit and blessings of each day!
As you know, Gratitude Hot Yoga Centers are not just a yoga sanctuary for you to call home throughout the year, it's also a way of thinking, feeling, and behaving in life off of the yoga mat.
It's my most sincere wish that after all that we've been through lately, you still find a way to make today and every day the best.
If you've been following the work we're doing at Gratitude and have been applying gratitude to all you do, you are literally feeling how gratitude shifts the body's biochemistry...After all, science has proven that gratitude has been shown to prime our brains to find the good in things.
Consider the alternative...our two-million-year-old brain wiring takes over and runs the show trying to survive and look for what's wrong in all situations.
Remember: What's wrong is always available...but, what's right is also available.
FEAR & ANGER are the two emotions that can totally mess up any situation in life, even if everything is going well.
Remember what we believe and teach: GRATITUDE is the antidote to stress!
You simply can't be angry or fearful and grateful at the same time.
Here is an audio clip of a simple practice I call 'The Gratitude Spiral'. It takes like, 10 minutes...you may have even adopted it into your life already because I share it in our live yoga classes and events and in my inspirational emails.
I encourage you to adopt this practice today and every day and see what kind of energy it brings to you, your family, friends, and the community you love.
When you do this, you're giving a gift to yourself. And, with practice and feeling the power that gratitude can have on your life, you just might want to keep doing it as a life practice!
It's my sincere prayer that all will find the miracle of this experience we call life even in the midst of all the crazy stimuli that we've all been exposed to in the last few years.
Here, I'd like to extend to you another short video that hopefully aids in putting you in the space of gratitude because as a father, son, significant other, business owner, friend, and community contributor, I fully understand how the never-ending demands of life can be really challenging.
Ok, let's give thanks, not just for those rare extraordinary moments or for the gifts wrapped up with a bow, but for every decision and every event that led you to read this, right here, right now.
With sincere gratitude,
