I'm reaching out to you with a message to never get lost in the day-to-day stressors and forget your blessings.
Coupled with all of the pressure and uncertainty in life, there's no shortage of stress to go around...But, when we forget and the emotions of stress, fear, anger, frustration, overwhelm, sadness and worry take root in us, we're going to miss the true spirit and blessings of each day!
As you know, Gratitude Hot Yoga Centers are not just a yoga sanctuary for you to call home throughout the year, it's also a way of thinking, feeling, and behaving in life off of the yoga mat.
It's my most sincere wish that after all that we've been through lately, you still find a way to make today and every day the best. If you've been following the work we're doing at Gratitude and have been applying gratitude to all you do, you are feeling how gratitude shifts the body's biochemistry...After all, science has proven that gratitude has been shown to prime our brains to find the good in things. Consider the alternative...our two-million-year-old brain wiring takes over and runs the show trying to survive and look for what's wrong in all situations.
Remember: What's wrong is always available...but, what's right is also available.
FEAR & ANGER are the two emotions that can mess up any situation in life, even if everything is going well. Remember what we believe and teach: GRATITUDE is the antidote to stress!
You simply can't be angry or fearful and grateful at the same time. Here is an audio clip of a simple practice I call 'The Gratitude Spiral'. It takes like, 10 minutes to do.
