Session 1: 5/3 Preparation, Arm balances & Tripod headstand

Foundations for Arm Balances & Inversions
This first session is all about preparing your body and nervous system to lift with confidence.
Rather than chasing shapes, we’ll focus on the stretches, strength patterns, and activation drills that make arm balances and inversions feel accessible—not intimidating. You’ll learn how to recruit the right muscles, where to stabilize, and what needs to open so that lifting up eventually feels natural.
You’ll leave with a simple, repeatable sequence designed to practice daily between sessions—short enough to fit into real life, powerful enough to create noticeable change.
Arm Balances, Headstands, & Handstands
Building on the strength, mobility, and muscle memory from Session 1, Sessions 2 and 3 guide you into the world of inversions and arm balances with structure, support, and a sense of play. We’ll explore how to safely enter, stabilize, and exit poses while learning to trust your body—and quiet the mental noise that shows up when things get unfamiliar.
Expect focused work on:
Arm balances – Bakasana, Parsva Bakasana, and Eka Pada Utkatasana (crow, side crow, figure four balance)
Headstands & Tripod Base – learning to stack, stabilize, and feel grounded as you use your core to lift your feet above your head
Handstand foundations – weight-shifting, shoulder engagement, and supported lift-offs
Inverting the body has powerful benefits: increased circulation to the brain, a sense of mental clarity, and a fresh way of seeing familiar challenges. As the blood flows upward and the world flips, the mind often gets quieter—and fear loosens its grip.
